Handwoven Artistic Rug – Embossed Multi-Panel Design (Khesti) By Master Yashar Malfouzi

Knot Density: 50 raj | Size: 200 × 135 cmt | Material: Wool & Cotton | Dye: Natural Plant-Based | Knot: Turkish (Symmetrical) From the silent rhythm of the loom emerges a masterpiece — not merely a carpet, but a story. A story of love, mysticism, mythology, and the thousand-year legacy of Persian culture.

This timeless handwoven rug is the work of master artist Yashar Malfouzi, renowned for creating extraordinary embossed rugs that transcend the boundaries of traditional weaving. This is not a floor covering — it is a wall-hung artwork, created for those who understand the language of art.

Woven over the course of a year and followed by ten months of meticulous hand-embossing using traditional scissors and artisan tools, this piece is crafted with the finest wool and cotton. Every color is derived from natural plant-based dyes, offering both visual brilliance and long-lasting authenticity.

The rug features the Khesti or Multi-Panel design, one of the most iconic interpretations of the tree-of-life motif in Persian carpet art. Each panel, or “brick,” is a world of its own — a frame holding centuries of symbolism and ethnic storytelling. These panels are arranged with poetic repetition, alternating between raised and recessed textures that give the surface depth, movement, and life.

Among the rich motifs are tulips and roses — symbolic elements deeply rooted in both Persian literature and ancient mythology. The red tulip stands for passionate love; the pink tulip, for mutual understanding. The rose is sacred to both Aphrodite in Greek mythology and Christian lore, where it is said the first red rose grew beside Christ’s tomb. Birds and butterflies perched among evergreen blossoms evoke an ethereal, heavenly garden — serene, timeless, divine.

This rug is not meant to be walked upon — it is meant to be witnessed. A collector’s gem, a gallery centerpiece, a spiritual and cultural asset that brings the soul of Persian civilization into the heart of your space. We have come from the heart of ancient civilizations… to the future that is yours.

“This is not a carpet… It’s a story. An embossed masterpiece by Yashar Malfouzi, woven from love, myth, and Persian heritage.

Created for gallery walls — not for footsteps. An artistic investment for tomorrow… and beyond.”
